Researching biological effects and properties of raw materials and formulations plays an important role in product development. This does not only apply to the toxicological and ecological evaluation of future products but also to the support of claims during new product launches. Advertised product claims and product safety cannot simply be asserted but have to be demonstrated in appropriate tests.
