Prof. Dr. Werner Müller-Esterl

Prof. Dr. Werner Müller-Esterl, born in 1948, was educated in Chemistry at the Rheinischen Friedrich-Wilhelms-University in Bonn and in Medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich. After postdoc periods in Munich and Seattle he became Professor for Clinical Biochemistry at the Medical Faculty of Medicine of the LMU Munich. In 1989 he took a Chair of Pathobiochemistry at the Institute for Physiological Chemistry of the Johannes Gutenberg-University in Mainz. Since 1999 Prof. Dr. Müller-Esterl is affiliated with the Medical Faculty of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University where he is Director and Professor for Biochemistry at the Institute for Biochemistry II.
